Taste Craft Beer At Asheville, NC Breweries
If you’re a fan of beer, you’re going to be a big fan of Asheville, NC. Referred to by National Public Radio as the “Napa Valley of Beer,” the city is home to the region’s top small- and large-scale breweries along with brewpubs, bars, and cideries, all within close proximity of DoubleTree by Hilton. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to taste a multitude of phenomenal western North Carolina beers. Many of the breweries offer tours and food pairings along with the tastings. There are also pub crawls and even a mode of transportation known as a pubcycle. You’d expect nothing less from one of CNN’s 8 Best Beer Towns in America.

When does the Beer City Festival happen?
This annual gathering takes place at the end of May. The outrageous outdoor festival, which features the eclectic creations of 32 breweries in and around Asheville, is held at the Roger McGuire Green at Pack Square Park directly in the middle of downtown. When you’re in, you’ll enjoy everything from tastings and the unique food served up by local restaurants to live music courtesy of local bands.

Catawba is known for interesting beers with equally interesting monikers, such as Farmer Ted’s Cream Ale and White Zombie White Ale. In addition, there are two India Pale Ales. One is called Firewater and the other is Astral Bootie Beer.
